TECHNICAL YARNS
SOLUTIONS DESIGNED FOR YARNS' FUNCTIONALIZATION
Building on its expertise in textiles and nonwovens, and in response to growing customer demand, Fibroline has expanded its expertise to the impregnation of technical yarns. By adapting its dry powder impregnation technologies, the company has developed a dedicated configuration called Y-Preg, specifically designed for the treatment of yarns, tapes, or braids. This innovative technology enables the functionalization of these materials through the incorporation of solid additives in powder form, opening the door to a wide range of industrial applications. Y-Preg can process one or multiple spools in parallel at speeds exceeding 150 m/min, all without the use of solvents or water. As a result, it complies with regulatory requirements (including REACH) and enables significant energy savings by eliminating the drying step.

TECHNICAL YARNS WITH
VARIOUS FUNCTIONS

GASKET FUNCTIONALIZATION
Fibroline technology can be used for gasket functionalization utilizing several additives according to the required properties such as resistance to heat or mechanical stress.

REINFORCEMENT YARNS
The inclusion of reinforcement yarns in rubber structures can be improved by using several functional powders. For example, such yarns can be used for tires, timing belts, conveyor belts.

FOOD CONTACT YARN FUNCTIONALIZATION
Food contact yarns can be functionalized using dry impregnation in order to confer them their thermal and chemical stability as well as their mechanical resistance.
