The complete industrial impregnation line

For continuous impregnation of several products, the FIBROLINE Process may require further equipment, apart from the central impregnation unit.

For applications such as GMT, glass mats thermobonding, and thermoset impregnated felts, the required equipment includes:

before the Fibroline unit

- unwinding unit, or glass chopper
- powder scatter unit with its feeding system

after the Fibroline unit

- oven
- consolidation calendar
- rewinding unit or plate cutter.
Impregnation line
The process speed

Impregnation by the FIBROLINE Process takes a few seconds, say from 5 to 20 seconds depending of the weight of the fibres and on the rate of powder impregnation required.

Speed of a continuous installation may vary from 3 to 6 m/minute for glass mat or felt impregnation to 100 m/minute or more for light tissues, the size and geometry of the impregnation unit being adapted accordingly.
