FIBROLINE is equipped with a number of different installations, which permit the development of a large variety of products.
Such installations also allow to make tests or experiments on samples from 0.1 kg to several tons, and to scan all process parameters in order to select best adapted process conditions.
Furthermore, Fibroline disposes of 3 scattering units, and several pre or post-treatment equipment, such as:
· Unwinding & winding
· Calendars
· IR oven
· Air oven
· Press
· …
Lab units
At a lab scale, Fibroline works on 2 discontinuous impregnation devices, that allow research work and preliminary tests before product development. These devices can impregnate from the tiniest samples to A4 size samples.

Semi-continuous unit
Once the technical requirements are fulfilled, Fibroline goes one step further on a semi-continuous line.
This device allows on line scattering and impregnation on 1mx2m samples.
Samples produced with this semi-continuous line allow testing by the company as well as by the customers (for moulding tests for instance).
Such experimentation also permits to foresee the potential difficulties that might arise when transferring the operation to the Fibroline pilot industrial line.

Pilot Industrial line
Product development must be confirmed by tests on an industrial line. For that reason, Fibroline developed a complete pilot industrial line including:
· Unwinding
· Powder scattering
· Impregnation unit
· IR oven
· Calendar
· Winding

This line is located in Switzerland, near Zürich, in Strahm Textile System facility (Strahm is the textile machinery manufacturer which builds the impregnation units on Fibroline specifications).
This line can run from 1m/min up to more than 40m/min.
The working width is 1m20, but can be adapted to narrower width.
This continuous line can be used for demonstrations, and also for small scale productions. |
